Student & Trainee Positions
Two Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the RNA Center laboratory are currently available in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine for individuals who meet the following qualifications:
Postdoctoral Fellow #1
- Experience in the development, characterization and validation of siRNA for RNA interference work in cancer.
- Experience in in-vitro and in-vivo studies involving biocompatible and synthetic nanoparticles (development, characterization, validation using biochemical, analytical and molecular biology techniques).
- Required experience in nanoparticle targeting and delivery.
- Must show experience in learning novel technologies, and independently be able to develop novel methods in research.
Postdoctoral Fellow #2
- Experience in microarrays, from target preparation to data generation, including handling mRNA, non-coding RNA (microRNA etc), making cDNA, cRNA, optimization of the microarray experiments). Experience required in any one of the microarray platforms. More than one preferred.
- Experience in Sequencing: expertise in Next Generation sequencing platforms, including any Ambion, Solexa etc. Must be able to work independently to establish and run next generation deep sequencing along with microarrays. Must have expertise in handling and optimizing the sequencing experiments.
- Must be able to manage and train personnel as required.
