Faculty and Staff

Currently, CCIR faculty represent the departments of Immunology, Lymphoma & Myeloma, Melanoma Medical Oncology, Dermatology, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology and Surgical Oncology plus the Section of Stem Cell Transplantation & Cellular Therapy and the Division of Pediatrics-Patient Care, reflecting the multidisciplinary research conducted at the center. In addition, the Immunology Laboratory for Physician Scientists (ILPS) was established to provide a platform and laboratory space for MD Anderson clinical faculty whose departments lack administrative leadership and infrastructure in immunology. Approximately 290 people work at the CCIR as faculty, research staff, postdoctoral/clinical fellows, graduate students and administrative staff.  The South Campus Research Building I is the dedicated facility for housing all CCIR offices, laboratories and core services in flow cytometry, antibody production, protein expression and purification, generation of transgenic/knockout mice, histology, immune monitoring of patient samples, and confocal microscopy.
