Two-Year Track in Radiation Therapy Program
Our Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy program offers a two-year track, with entry at the Junior level:
- Applicants for this track do not need a background in Radiologic Technology
- Program provides an education in advanced treatment modalities including adaptive, conformal, stereotactic and proton therapy
Application deadline is April 1
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for the program: A minimum of 42 semester credit hours (SCH) that must include courses described in parts A & B below. Prerequisite courses must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, overall and in science classes.
Part A
For acceptable transfer of core courses using Texas Common Course Numbering, visit the School of Health Professions Catalog.
The Texas Core Curriculum - 42 semester credit hours (SCH) that must include the following specific courses:

Part B
Required and recommended courses for entry into the program, that may be part of the Texas Core Curriculum listed in Part A above:

Anatomy and Physiology I: minimum 4 SCH
College Physics: minimum 3 SCH
**Recommended courses
Anatomy and Physiology II, Psychology, Sociology, Advanced Mathematics.
