MC/G&D Joint Retreat
Joint Graduate Program Retreat – October 7, 2009
The Genes & Development Program (G&D) and the Molecular Carcinogenesis Program (MC), based at the M. D. Anderson Science Park Campus near Smithville, will hold a joint one-day scientific retreat on Wednesday October 7, 2009. The retreat will be held in Houston at the M. D. Anderson South Campus Conference Center.
This retreat is for all students and faculty in MC and G&D Program labs. The program will be a mix of student platform talks and student poster sessions. The retreat will give faculty and students in both programs the opportunity to meet, to exchange scientific information, to gain presentation experience and to facilitate future collaborations.
All \graduate students who are in their third year by the Fall 2009 semester will submit abstracts. A program committee consisting of MC and G&D students and faculty will select 10 abstracts for 15-minute platform presentations. The remaining abstracts will be presented in poster sessions. Three platform and four poster cash awards will be presented at the end of the day.
