Finding a Mentor

Applicants to the program can choose from a large number of potential mentors conducting research in cancer prevention. The majority of the mentors have a primary faculty appointment within the division. However, any faculty member at M. D. Anderson directing a research project related to any aspect of cancer prevention is eligible to mentor the students in the program.

Applicants for the R25T multi-year predoctoral and postdoctoral training positions must select two faculty co-mentors, with at least one of the co-mentors having a faculty position within the Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences at M. D. Anderson.

Applicants for the R25E short-term research experiences in cancer prevention can select a mentor from among any of the numerous faculties at M. D. Anderson involved with cancer prevention research.
