Project: Adaptive Radiation Treatment Methods for GYN and Proton Therapy and Dose Validation Between Planned and Given Dose
My project looks at current clinical radiation treatment methods in the gynecology service. I plan to use tools such as deformable image registration, discrete ordinate dose calculation for brachytherapy, and image guided radiation therapy to provide dose mapping between the external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy. If we can compare dose delivered during external radiotherapy and brachytherapy on a voxel by voxel basis, we will be able to accurately assess between planned and delivered dose and provide much more personalized medicine to our patients.
