Project: Four-Dimensional Cone-Beam Computed Tomography
The goal of this project is to improve the positioning accuracy of image-guidance in thoracic radiotherapy. We intend to accomplish this by developing four-dimensional cone-beam computed tomography (4D-CBCT) for imaging radiotherapy targets undergoing respiratory motion. We are investigating scan parameters and their impact on image quality. We are also investigating image reconstruction algorithms that may improve the positioning accuracy of 4D-CBCT.
