Goal
This conference will describe the practices at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Treatment guidelines for various cancer types (including CNS, head and neck, thoracic, breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, lymphoma and sarcoma) will be covered. In addition, advances in treatment planning and radiation therapy delivery will be discussed. The use of quality assurance to insure proper delivery of dose will also be covered.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to
- Evaluate appropriate candidates for radiation treatment according to MD Anderson/NCCN guidelines (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes);
- Demonstrate knowledge of current target delineation techniques at MD Anderson (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes);
Discuss and implement the recent advances in Radiation Oncology treatment delivery for selected cancers (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes); and - Demonstrate knowledge of Radiation Treatment planning for selected cancers (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes).

Evaluation
A course evaluation form will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ . Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Radiologic Technologist Credits
Approved by the America Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for Category A continuing education credit.
Medical Dosimetrists Credits
Approved by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) for continuing education credit.
CME Certificates and Attendance Verification Certificates
Certificates awarding AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or certificates documenting attendance will be distributed to participants when an individual departs the conference. To obtain a CME certificate, physicians must submit a completed evaluation questionnaire and a CME Verification Form.
Upon request, a record of attendance (certificate) will be provided on-site to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations.
