The Integrative Medicine Center

Learn to Live Better at the Integrative Medicine Center

At MD Anderson, we realize that physical healing is only part of the puzzle. The Integrative Medicine Center is an environment where all persons touched by cancer may enhance their quality of life through programs that complement medical care and focus on the mind, body and spirit.

Our mission is to conduct cutting-edge research examining intervention programs to improve quality of life and clinical outcomes; to provide authoritative, accurate and current information for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals; and to offer complementary therapies that may be used in concert with mainstream care to manage symptoms, relieve stress and enhance quality of life.

The Integrative Medicine Center offers more than 75 complementary therapy programs. Most programs are offered free of charge, except acupuncture and full body massage, which are provided for a nominal fee.

The Integrative Medicine Center is open to anyone touched by cancer, their family members and caregivers, whether or not they were treated at MD Anderson. No physician referral is required for group programs.

  • Mind-Spirit (spirituality, meditation, and more)
