MPN Team

Srdan Verstovsek, MD, PhDSrdan Verstovsek, MD, PhD is the Chief of the MPN Section and leader of the Clinical Research Program. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Boards for The Chronic MPD Education Foundation, American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders and The Mastocytosis Society. He is a member of a number of professional societies and has been engaged as a speaker at many meetings over the last decade; he co-authored more than 230 published original research papers, numerous reviews and several book chapters.

The MPN team was formed in 2005. At that time, it included one physician and one research nurse, with only one active MPN-specific clinical protocol. The MPN team has grown exponentially over the last 6 years and currently includes five research nurses, four data coordinators and four laboratory personnel. The number of clinical protocols for MPD patients has also grown rapidly; more than 25 have been completed over the last 6 years and 8 are currently underway.
