Education
MD Anderson's Integrative Medicine Program is dedicated to provide educational opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, healthcare professionals, employees, and the public.
Educational events include conferences, courses, and lectures from international experts in the field of integrative medicine. Our educational events are designed to explore and disseminate current topics, trends, and innovations in integrative oncology. As an academic institution we provide educational programs for existing and future health care professionals in the area of integrative medicine by offering excellent internship and program overview workshop. The Integrative Medicine Program consists of three components: education, research and clinical delivery and affords students and visitors the opportunity to explore the dynamics of integrative oncology.
Adjunct to our events and programs we provide online education. The Complementary/Integrative Medicine Resources (CIMER) Web site provides authoritative, current information for health care professionals, caregivers and patients who want to know more about how to safely supplement conventional cancer care with complementary and integrative medicine therapies. Our intention is to provide evidence-based information to improve the lives of patients who choose to use these therapies under the direction of informed physicians. The CIMER website includes natural products and complementary therapies reviews, educational materials, and related resources and links.
