HDEART Consortium

Health Disparities Education, Awareness, Research & Training Consortium

The Health Disparities Education, Awareness, Research & Training (HDEART) Consortium brings together institutions of higher learning along with health care institutions to develop a program to bear the strength of each institution to address the issue of health disparities in minority and medically underserved populations.

HDEART Representatives (pdf)

Consortium members are presently meeting on a quarterly basis to determine what each has to offer in developing joint programs. One of the present efforts is the hosting of the Annual Disparities in Health in America: Working Toward Social Justice Workshop. In addition, the consortium members are presently working together to develop an academic program in health disparities.
