Director, ncRNA Program, Department of Experimental Therapeutics, Division of Cancer Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX

Research Interests

  • Non-coding RNAs
  • Progression and metastases
  • Identify ncRNAs as biomarkers for cancer

Cancer-specific non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including microRNAs, are involved in cancer initiation, progression and metastases. The ncRNA program at MD Anderson studies and identifies ncRNAs as biomarkers for early stage diagnosis, later stage prognosis, and as potential use in new therapeutic approaches. The ncRNA program also supports ncRNA research throughout MD Anderson by providing advanced technologies. Learn more about the ncRNA program.
