Work performed in the laboratories of members of The Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas is defining important steps in the regulation of bone formation and resorption. Bone Program participants are leading the way in identifying transcription factors, developing pharmacologic agents, and studying the role of collagen, the hormone calcitonin and vitamin D analogs in osteoporosis, bone metastasis, osteogenesis imperfecta and other bone disorders.
