Lab Members

Hofmann Lab Team:

Marie-Claude Hofmann, Ph.D., Principal Investigator

Thomas Garcia, Ph.D., Instructor

Dr. Garcia studies the effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitors on spermatogenesis and the role of NOTCH signaling in the development and maintenance of the male germ line. He also studies emerging environmental contaminants such as nanoparticles on testicular function.

Brian Danysh, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Danysh is investigating novel pathways used by thyroid cancer cells to bypass tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) inhibition. Dr. Danysh is also investigating the potential use of silver nanoparticles to target RET signaling in medullary thyroid carcinoma.

Jaspreet Kaur, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Kaur is investigating the potential of pluripotent germ line stem cell to develop capillaries for regenerative medicine.  She also studies the molecular mechanism of Hes/Hey transcriptional repressors and is interested in the function of histone demethylases in the testis.

Sean Kow, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Sean Kow performs most of our mouse husbandry and genotyping and is proficient in all molecular biology and histological techniques. He also performs many of our in silico morphometric analyses.

Erin Rieger, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Erin Rieger excels at tissue culture and manages our tissue culture room. She is also proficient in many molecular biology techniques.
