Department of Medical Education

The Department of Medical Education operates under the direction of Diane C. Bodurka, MD, vice president for Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official (DIO).  The department is one of the 20 plus service departments and offices in the division of Academic Affairs.  It is home to the Office of Graduate Medical Education and the Office of Physician Assistant Education.

The responsibilities of the department include directing institutional activities related to the requirements of the ACGME and developing policies related to medical education as well as strategic planning, conduct, approval, and regulation of MD Anderson’s medical education enterprise.

Requests for verification of post-graduate clinical fellowship training can be e-mailed to the Office of Graduate Medical Education at or faxed to 713-745-5744.
