Developing novel interventional techniques focusing on targeted drug delivery methods (e.g. drug-eluting beads and nanoparticles) for local and regional treatment of cancers.

Ongoing Clinical Projects

To study the presentation, endovascular management, outcome, and effect on renal function of selective transarterial embolization of renal artery pseudoaneurysms and arteriovenous (AV) fistulae in patients following open or laparascopic partial nephrectomy. (PI)

To evaluate the frequency of use, indications, and safety of retrievable-type inferior vena cava (IVC) filters at a tertiary care cancer center. (CoPI)

To evaluate the effect of coaxial guide needle size (18 vs. 19 gauge) on the risk of pneumothorax and chest tube placement after CT-guided lung biopsy. (PI)

To evaluate the role combined ablation – chemoembolization for liver tumors. (PI)
