Your First Appointment

To ensure an accurate and timely diagnosis, please bring as much information as possible for your first visit. In addition to your medical records, these include:

  • Ultrasound scans
  • X-rays
  • Bone scans
  • CT scans
  • MRI scans 
  • Pathology slides: hand-carry, or arrange to have them sent to our pathologists for review before your first appointment

Often, a definitive diagnosis cannot be made at the initial appointment, and further tests may be  necessary. Some tests can be done the day before or the same day as your clinic visit. Other tests may take longer to schedule, so be prepared to stay in Houston for several days in some cases.
