Leukemia is cancer of blood-forming tissue such as bone marrow. Types of leukemia are grouped by the type of cell affected and by the rate of cell growth. Leukemia is either acute or chronic. Learn more:

Adult leukemia patients are treated in our Leukemia Center, featuring the largest practice of leukemia subspecialists in the world.

The Leukemia Department specialists treat all leukemias (acute and chronic), myelodysplastic syndromes, aplastic and other anemias, specific lymphomas (lymphoblastic lymphoma, splenic lymphoma, Burkitt’s lymphoma, large granular lymphocyte leukemia/lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma), myeloproliferative syndromes and other related hematologic malignancies.
