Two weeks prior

ActionAdditional InformationResources
Talk to your manager about your retirement date and transition plans.
  • Please give your manager at least two weeks' notice of your retirement, as you would normally provide if you were resigning for other reasons.
  • However, you're encouraged to provide as much advance notice as possible to manage the transition of your workload and assignments once you retire.

We want to make sure you have the support you need during the final weeks of your employment.

Contact your HR consultant if you would like help planning for this discussion with your manager.

Remind supervisor/manager to submit retirement JDUF/electronic Personnel Action Form (ePAF).This helps ensure your final paycheck is processed in a timely manner.
Make sure to update your contact information in myHR.Doing so ensures future correspondence is sent to the correct address regarding annual enrollment, and updates from MD Anderson, HR and UT System.
