Step-by-Step Instructions for Trend Micro Internet Security
Remember: There should only be one anti-virus/spyware program installed on your computer at a given time. It is highly recommended that you uninstall the other anti-virus/anti-spyware program before attempting to install Trend Micro Internet Security. Please consult with your current anti-virus/anti-spyware provider for complete uninstall instructions.
Step #1: Obtain Serial Number
- Complete the Online Serial Number Request.
Note - After you submit the form, you'll receive an e-mail message containing a link to the serial number. - Each serial number is good for 3 different computers, one primary and two secondary computers.
- Each serial is good for 365 days after registration of the primary computer with Trend Micro
- You will need to request a new serial number annually.

Step #3: Replacing an expiring serial number
For TIS [PC-cillin 2007]
How can I change the serial number of Trend Micro [PC-cillin] Internet Security 2007? To change manually update serial number using the Registry Editor:
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Type regedit, click Ok
- Click (+) sign of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Click (+) sign of Software
- Click Trend Micro folder
- Click PC-cillin folder
- On the right side of the window, right click Serial number then click Modify
- Type in the new serial number
- Close the Registry window
- Open Trend Micro program and then click Update Now button
