How do I do business with MD Anderson Cancer Center?

How do I know if my company has already registered?

Submit an e-mail to Supplier Registration and ask for your company's registration status.

 

I have registered, now what?

It is important to keep in mind that registered through the Ariba site is the first step in doing business with MD Anderson.  Additional important steps are still required from you.  Please view the following instruction carefully on how to add MD Anderson as your Buyer Company.  Once you have successfully added us as your Buyer Company, we will review and approve your request. Once you have been approved, you will be invited to participate on any current RFPs that match to your company commodities.


When I register, does that mean I am a preferred vendor or supplier?

No. Registering provides us with your company's vital information so that we can match your company to potential opportunities. You will be contacted should an opportunity become available which matches your company's product and/or service offering.

 

What classifies a company as a "preferred" vendor or supplier?

Preferred suppliers are those suppliers who are currently under contract with our Institution.

 

Can we have more than one individual registered?

The registration Web site will only allow one supplier registrar for each company. As the registrar for your company you will also take on the role as the account administrator for MD Anderson Cancer Center. Additional contact names can be added after registration under the Company Profile section within the "Contacts" tab.

 

I'm only one company in a consortium; do I register as an individual company?

Yes. If you are only one company in a consortium, you should register as an individual company.


I can't find my product/service; what do I do?

Select the product / service that best fits the description of your business and ensure that the UNSPSC codes are accurate. UNSPSC codes are The United Nations Standard Products and Service Codes, a classification system that code supplier service offering. For assistance with identifying the appropriate code, please visit www.unspsc.org.

 

How will I know if I'm selected as a vendor?

A representative from MD Anderson Cancer Center will contact you should an opportunity become available which matches your company's product and/or service offering.

 

How do I know when I am registered?

Once you have received your login username and password, log back into the system and complete the registration process. When you have entered all of the information, select the "submit" registration button. A message will appear on your screen indicating the registration was successfully submitted.

 

How do I update my profile?

Log back into company account through Ariba/Procuri select the "Profile" button from the left navigation menu, click on Edit from the top right corner of the screen, complete the updates and Save.

 

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee associated with registering on the MD Anderson Cancer Center Web site.

 

I can't seem to get the "reset password" feature to work?

Close all windows in your browser. Wait 20 minutes. Go back into the site and select reset password. A new password will be sent to your e-mail address. Log into the system with the temporary password and change to a new permanent password. If you do not receive a new password, your company's network is most likely designated to not receive system generated e-mails. In this event, please contact Supplier Registration for assistance.


My password has expired, what should I do?

Please access the registration site and select the "Forgot your password? Click Here" feature to reset your password.

 

What products and services do you purchase?

A list of all the products and services purchased by MD Anderson Cancer Center can be obtained by contacting us at Supplier Registration.

 

Where are opportunities posted?

Current opportunities are posted to the public via our Web site at http://www.mdanderson.org/bids.

 

I'm registered on your Web site. Can you tell me who to contact for a specific commodity?

If you've registered on the Web site, your profile has been received and if there's an opportunity regarding your commodity, you will be contacted.

 

I'm just following up regarding our conversation a year ago. Has anything changed with the current vendors you're using for my commodity?

If you've registered on the Web site, your profile has been received and if there's an opportunity regarding your commodity, you will be contacted.

 

Can I contact you to inquire on Indirect opportunities?

No. Please register on our Supplier Registration database. Once you have completed the registration your information will be available to sourcing analysts who will contact you should there be an opportunity, Direct or Indirect.

 

I registered a year ago (or two) but I haven't received any communication or business?

Registration doesn't guarantee business; however it is required of all suppliers.
