Who are the creators? Are they different from inventors?
Creators are the persons listed on the IDR that made a contribution to the conception and/or reduction of practice of the invention. Inventors are those persons who substantially contributed to the complete concept of the invention as claimed in a patent. Inventors are determined by legal counsel and inventorship is a matter of law. All inventors should be Creators, but all Creators are not necessarily inventors.
An important distinction is that license revenue is paid out to the Creators listed on the IDR and is divided by the percentage contribution listed thereunder.
