What is the Center for Global Oncology?

The Center for Global Oncology is a multi-faceted department within The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center composed of three branches with a centralized steering committee. The three branches are Global Academic Programs, Global Business Development and Global Clinical Programs.

Why was the Center for Global Oncology Created?

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has led the world in cancer treatment, research, education and prevention for nearly 70 years. The Center for Global Oncology was created to share this extraordinary expertise with health care providers worldwide.

Through the Center for Global Oncology, MD Anderson is expanding clinical care beyond its Houston campus in the Texas Medical Center. By collaborating on science and education and helping other organizations around the world build outstanding cancer programs of their own, MD Anderson is working to uphold its mission of eliminating cancer in Texas, the nation and the world.
