MD Anderson Cancer Network Programs
MD Anderson’s multidisciplinary approach to care spans the full cancer care continuum, which includes prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research. Health care providers can benefit from our expertise and elevate the quality of care in their community through MD Anderson Cancer Network’s three comprehensive membership programs. Members have direct access to our faculty's expertise, education and training, including quality protocols and best practices, treatment regimens and multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences.
Certified Membership
Certified membership is a comprehensive oncology quality assurance and best practices program based on the MD Anderson approach to multidisciplinary cancer care. The program employ's the institution's clinical practice guidelines and best practices, as well as nationally accepted quality indicators endorsed by national organizations such as The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and National Quality Forum (NQF).
The program helps members examine and improve the quality of their oncology program through objective measurement tools and a robust data-driven quality improvement process. Approved medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons at member sites use MD Anderson evidence-based treatment guidelines to plan and deliver cancer care to patients.
Specialty Membership
Specialty membership offers a co-branded, multidisciplinary oncology program focused on a single disease site. Through this single specialty program, members benefit from integration with MD Anderson in specific cancers such as breast, colon, lung and prostate. This program includes physician integration, education and training, and access to clinical trials and research collaborations. Specialty members deliver research-driven, patient-centered care that mirrors MD Anderson’s prospective, multidisciplinary model.
Partner Membership
The Partner member program brings MD Anderson's full expertise and resources to your community as a co-branded, multi-specialty cancer center. These members benefit from full operational and clinical integration with MD Anderson across the entire cancer care continuum, including translational research. This full clinical extension program includes planning and business support, faculty and staff integration, education and training, and access to clinical trials and research collaborations. Partner members deliver research-driven, patient-centered care that mirrors MD Anderson’s prospective, multidisciplinary model.
